Work on the pipeline

Here are the dozers at work. You can tell by the dust that it's very dry. We need rain badly.

We solved the Mystery of the Old Tires today. A few months ago piles of old tires started appearing along the sides of the roads near where the pipeline crosses a road. Today we saw them put the tires in the road and a bulldozer drive over them. It was so as to not tear up the road with the dozer tracks.

We drove out today to see what we could see. Andrew would really like to know when they will start digging the trench and laying out the pipe. He doesn't want the cows to get stuck on the back half. The grass is better on the front.
James said, "Hey, what are they doing tearing up all our pasture? "

I'll have to show these pictures to Thomas when he gets back. He went to OKC with Papa Nano to watch some of our cattle be sold. We send the big loads to OKC where the market is bigger. A big semi will hold 60 something yearlings. We're sending another load next Monday. We spent a lot of time at home this last month and I think Thomas was ready for an adventure. I told him to be sure to ask Grandpa to tell him stories about when he was 8. James was pretty upset yesterday when we were loading the cattle to take them away. I tried to explain that they were old enough to leave their mommas and that the baby calves were staying.
Oh well, fact of life.
